Know our Limes!
The evergreen lime tree grows to a height of 3 to 5 m and bears fruit the whole year round. The table-tennis ball-sized fruits develop from white blossoms. Their thin peel is a juicy green and protects the refreshing fruit flesh.
As they ripen they become more yellow in colour. There are some types that are full of pips, but our limes are SEEDLESS !
Our limes are full of juicy fruit flesh and more intensive in flavor, compared to lemon. Limes are rich in Vitamin C.
Benefits of Limes.
The health benefits of lime include weight loss, skin care, good digestion, relief from constipation, eye care, & treatment of scurvy, piles, peptic ulcer, respiratory disorders, gout, gums, urinary disorders, etc.
Lime is consumed throughout the world in sorbets, refreshing beverages, pickles, jams, jellies, snacks, candies, sugar boiled confectioneries & culinary. The oil extracted from its peel or skin is extensively used in soft drink concentrates, hair & body oils, cosmetics, toothpastes, toilet & beauty soaps, disinfectants, mouth washes, deodorants & innumerable other products.
Did You Know?
In 2009, we also set up a 50-room boutique hotel christened "The LimeTree Hotel" in the city of Kuching in Sarawak to promote our initiatives. Through our hotel’s motto “The Essence of Hospitality", we hope to promote refreshing hospitality using our lime concept.
